Whether a part-time blogger or an experienced author, this workshop with Charlotte Austin is designed to help individuals of all levels realize their potential as writers. The evening will begin with a generously donated Happy Hour libations from Happy Mountain Kombucha and Deschutes Brewing. After a chance to mingle and network with fellow creatives, the group will come together to begin the workshop and participants will have the opportunity to enjoy hands-on experiential learning, innovative and intuitive classroom lectures, and one-of-a-kind writing prompts. To conclude the evening, the group will have a chance to ask any lingering questions during a Q&A session.

About Charlotte Austin:
Charlotte is an award-winning adventure writer and mountain guide who lives in Seattle, Washington. Her work has been published in Alpinist, Misadventures Magazine, Stay Wild, Seattle Magazine, Women’s Adventure Magazine, Mountain Magazine, Seattle Met, and more.
When she's not writing, Charlotte works for International Mountain Guides, where she lead climbing, mountaineering, and hiking expeditions around the world. She's guided in North and South America, Europe, Alaska, Patagonia, and Nepal. She is a Wilderness EMT, a Leave No Trace (LNT) Trainer, and holds Level 2 certification with the American Institute for Avalanche Education and Training (AIARE). She also recently became an extra class ham radio operator.
Charlotte's work has included a feature story about why there aren't more women in alpinism, a study of how understanding the science of gender can be a helpful tool in the mountains, and an essay about how debriefing after hard experiences could save your life. In 2017, she spoke at the Cody Ice Festival, led an expedition to climb Denali, guided a team of climbers to the top of Mount Elbrus (18,510'), and summited the tallest mountain in Mongolia. She also lectures and is an accomplished public speaker, and she recently joined the Oiselle pro athlete team.
