Oregon Wild Wednesday: Ashland, let's talk Public Lands!
Join Oregon Wild at Standing Stone Brewing Co. for a pint, some sustainable local eats, and to learn more about the many threats facing our public places and how you can get involved.
As you probably heard, our public lands and wild places are under attack. From Executive Orders that aim to diminish National Monuments, including the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument here in Oregon, to the Bundy’s and their radical agenda, our lands face a myriad of threats. All of these threats could have stunning implications for public lands across the country.
We will give an overview of the political threats, the importance of protecting our natural heritage, and the role Oregon’s public lands can play in fighting climate change. We’ll also hear more about the Crater Lake Wilderness campaign and why Wilderness is the ultimate protection we can provide our wild places.
Join us in having a Standing Stone brew or two, discuss the protection of Oregon's public lands, and kick back with Oregon Wild staff on what's sure to be a great summer evening.
