Senator Wyden Deschutes County Town Hall

We have another great opportunity to speak with Senator Wyden this week. Please consider attending his Town Hall to ask questions and support public lands!
When: Friday July 7th at 1:00pm
Where: Redmond Senior Center - 325 NW Dogwood Ave.
We will meet at 12:00pm in the parking lot behind JC Penney to carpool to Redmond.
Please let me know if you are planning on attending, so I can make sure we have adequate signs and space in the car.
Suggested talking points:
  • We are very concerned about the Westerman bill (HR 2936) moving through the House right now. It would give away public lands and undo Wilderness protections for places like the Wild Rogue. Will you oppose any efforts to reduce protections for our public lands? Will you oppose any legislation to reduce public input in the management of our National Forests?
  • Oregon's forests serve as amazing carbon sinks, provide clean drinking water, and amazing recreational opportunities. What are you doing to increase protections for places like Crater Lake and the Ochoco Mountains?
Please bring your signs and questions and take advantage of the opportunity to speak with our senior Senator.
Thanks for advocating for our wild places here in Oregon.
