Ellen Yarnell, Oregon Wild Finance Manager, is a third generation Pacific Northwesterner and can remember a time when butterflies were abundant, summers were temperate and it rarely snowed in winter. She grew up hiking, camping, and fishing the lakes and streams of Oregon and Arizona, spending hours learning the plants and animals of the forest from her nature-loving dad.
Ellen brings 20-plus years of accounting and business management to her role and is thrilled to use her professional skills in the advancement of conservation of Oregon’s wild.
Ellen’s passion is Permaculture as a gardening practice and way of living. She has a food forest in her front yard and a back yard full of veggie beds, herbs and perennials, and chickens. This photo is Ellen with her Colombian Wyandotte, Isabel.
