Sarah Cuddy joined the Oregon Wild staff as the Ochoco Mountains Campaign Organizer with a background in environmental education, wilderness medicine, and federal land management.  After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and Biology from the University of Oregon, Sarah spent several years working for the Forest Service as a wildland firefighter. Afterwards, she spent several more years working for the National Outdoor Leadership School guiding and educating others throughout the backcountry of the West.  As a Wilderness EMT, she instructs Wilderness First Responder courses around the country and loves taking people into the backcountry where they can experience first-hand the wild places she values.

As a life-long Oregonian, who grew up in central Oregon and the surrounding Ochoco Mountains, Sarah is excited to join Oregon Wild to help protect the Ochoco Mountains.  In her down time Sarah can be found enjoying the seemingly endless recreational opportunities in Oregon.  A few favorites include mountain biking, fly-fishing, and all things snow.  She also loves books, tea, and dogs.
