Clear Lake Loop Hike and Oregon Brewshed® Dinner

The Clear Lake Loop Trail hugs the edge of Clear Lake as it winds through old growth coniferous and deciduous forest. We will discuss Eugene's thriving brewing community, and how much it relies on clean water, and the forests that produce it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 4.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 430 feet
Leader: Chandra LeGue
Location: Willamette National Forest (carpools depart from Eugene)

Clear Lake is the headwaters of the McKenzie River, Eugene's drinking water source. This hike will include discussions about the importance of clean water and how forests help produce and protect it. Following the hike, we will invite hikers and members of the Oregon Brewshed Alliance to join us for dinner at Planktown in Springfield (meals not included).
