Education & Restoration Field Day at Tumalo Creek
The Central OR Bitterbrush Broads and Oregon Wild are teaming up with staff from the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council (UDWC) for a fun day of learning about the aquatic ecology and habitat of Tumalo Creek. Council staff will provide nets, kick screens, and waders so that we can discover the amazing array of aquatic invertebrates that live in the creek. We will also be planting native trees and shrubs that will ultimately provide shade and habitat for native fish and wildlife in that area.
Where & When: Weds, April 24 at Tumalo Creek, downstream from the falls.
Bring: water, lunch, gloves, and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Carpooling: Meet up no later than 9:30 in the Unitarian Universalist Church parking lot off Skyliners Road.
