Eugene Wild Ones:Lobbying 101

Join us for our 2018 Oregon Wild Ones workshop and activity series, and help make a difference for the public lands, wildlife, and Oregon you love!

"Lobbying" gets a bad rap, but really it's about constituents participating in our democracy by talking to our elected representatives. It's really not as scary as it sounds! In this workshop, we will go over the basics of why, how, and when to visit your elected officials (at all levels!) to advocate for the issues you care about. We'll focus on public lands and climate change in the workshop, but the skills learned can be applied to any topic.

A staff person from Rep. DeFazio's office will also be joining us to give his perspective on why and how lobbying is important, and we'll plan to follow up the workshop with a meeting for Wild Ones with local staff of one of our representatives - a great way to put what you learn into practice. Please join us!
