Exploring Oregon's Ancient Forests: Cape Perpetua
Join Oregon Wild, the Old Growth Forest Network, and the Siuslaw National Forest for a presentation, dedication, and hike at the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center this 4th of July weekend!
10:00-11:45am: "Oregon's Ancient Forests: A hiking guide" available for sale and signing by the author, Oregon Wild and Old Growth Forest Network (OGFN) information available
12:00-12:45pm: Presentation on exploring Oregon's ancient forests by author Chandra LeGue in the visitor center's theater
12:45pm: Dedication ceremony adding the forests around Cape Perpetua into the Old Growth Forest Network
1:00pm: Short public hike from visitor center to Gwynn Creek Trail, with an additional short OGFN dedication
