A celebration of womxn, and their inspiring contributions to conservation, environmental justice, and societal change and a call to action to continue to fight for gender equality, here in Oregon and around the world.

We hope you can join us for this special event on March 8th, 2020 at the Leaven Community Center on 5431 NE 20th Ave, Portland 97211 from 1:00-4:00 PM.

This is a family-friendly event with activities for kids and adults, remarks from inspirational community leaders, short film screenings and much more. This event is FREE and open to ALL.

As a way to honor those that have blazed trails before us and encourage current and future generations to build on that progress and blaze their own trails, we’ll be leading a short walk around Alberta Park (directly across the street) at 3 PM.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2020 is #EachforEqual. “The IWD 2020 campaign theme is drawn from a notion of 'Collective Individualism.' We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviors, and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society. Collectively, we can make change happen. Collectively, we can each help to create a gender-equal world.” -- International Women’s Day Campaign
