Waldo Lake (Pete Springer)

Waldo Lake Wilderness Hike

Climb through the Black Creek Canyon for waterfalls, old-growth forests, and finally to the shores of stunning Waldo Lake. Long steep climbs and loose footing make this hike a little more challenging than our average hike.

Difficulty: Moderate/Difficult
Distance: 8 miles
Elevation Gain: 2,200 feet
Leader: Jason Gonzales
Location: Willamette National Forest, NE of Oakridge in the Waldo Lake Wilderness (carpools depart from Eugene)

Enter the spectacular Waldo Lake Wilderness from the west and climb past beautiful Lillian Falls, through spectacular ancient forest and high elevation huckleberry thickets to reach the shores of Waldo Lake in Klovdahl Bay.
