Quinn Read - Executive Director, Oregon Wild

Quinn began her conservation career with Oregon Wild in 2013 as the Klamath Program Coordinator. She returned in 2025 as Executive Director. In between, she continued working to protect Oregon’s wildlife and the habitat they depend upon at both state and national nonprofits.

Quinn grew up in Washington and has a deep love for the Pacific Northwest. As a teenager, she volunteered for the Tahoma Bird Alliance and NW Trek Wildlife Park. From there, it was a smooth and focused path to a lifetime of meaningful conservation work. Right. If only. First, she had stints working for the FBI, a PR firm, a caramel corn stand, a brewpub, the University of Washington, and a law firm (well, the front desk of a law firm). In that order. She started a dog-walking business somewhere in there too.

Quinn holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington and a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. She has also served on the Oregon Environmental Justice Council since 2018.

Quinn enjoys gentle thrills, and can frequently be found reading, going for long walks, or adventuring (again, gently) with her husband and son in Oregon’s incredible wild places.
