Join Oregon Wild at Climate City Brewing Co. for a presentation and community discussion about the multiple threats facing our public lands.

Oregon is defined by our spectacular public lands and waters, yet these public places are increasingly threatened by proposals to privatize our National Forests and open our National Monuments and Parks up to special interests. From armed occupations to massive privatization proposals by industry-friendly politicians, our public lands face the greatest existential threat in a generation.

Katy will share her story about mountain biking in central Oregon. Come find out what you need to know, where to go, and what to expect, and of course hear some exciting stories along the way. Fall is the optimal season for hitting the trails, and Katy’s presentation will hit all of must-see trails, so come on down to Wild Wednesday to get inspired.

Join Oregon Wild at Standing Stone Brewing Co. for a pint, some sustainable local eats, and to learn more about the many threats facing our public places and how you can get involved. 

 

As you probably heard, our public lands and wild places are under attack. From Executive Orders that aim to diminish National Monuments, including the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument here in Oregon, to the Bundy’s and their radical agenda, our lands face a myriad of threats. All of these threats could have stunning implications for public lands across the country.

The Wild Wednesday’s series is about giving local adventurers a stage to tell their stories and inspire the rest of us to embark on our own journey to experience wilderness.
