This richly illustrated book explores the Pacific Coastal Temperate Rainforest, a globally significant ecosystem stretching from Northern California to Alaska. The authors will share behind-the-scenes stories from their years of on-the-ground reporting, revealing the complexities of carbon sequestration, forest ecology, and the intersection of environmental justice with forest policies. Learn about the challenges facing this vital resource, including destructive industry practices and policy failures, as well as the resilience of Indigenous communities who have stewarded these lands for millennia. Don’t miss this opportunity to delve into the beauty, science, and urgent importance of protecting one of the world’s great forests.
