Free the Snake River
The Snake River Dams harm salmon, orca, and communities across the Pacific Northwest. Tell the Army Corps of Engineers to breach the dams and restore waterways that have been the lifeblood of communities since time immemorial.
From the Elwha to the Klamath, dams are coming down. Yet the Lower Snake River Dams still block salmon, harm wildlife, and threaten Indigenous communities across the Northwest.
Four native salmon and steelhead runs are extinct. Thirteen more are at risk. Without action, scientists warn more extinctions are just years away.
These fish have supported orca, bears, forests, and Indigenous cultures since time immemorial. Even now, they sustain local economies and ecosystems from the coast to the Rockies.
But they need a free-flowing river to survive. The federal government continues to delay, clinging to a plan that keeps the dams in place—ignoring science and public support.
As a new comment period opens, tell the Army Corps: Free the Snake. Remove the dams. Speak up for salmon, Tribes, and a living river.
