Stop the extinction agenda—act now!
Congress is considering legislation to dismantle the Endangered Species Act. Contact your Senators today and let them know that rolling back critical protections for our most vulnerable species is unacceptable!
It’s happening again: Trump and his allies in Congress are launching coordinated attacks on one of our country’s most successful and widely supported environmental laws—the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
One of the most dangerous proposals is Representative Bruce Westerman’s so-called “ESA Amendments Act.” This bill would gut the core of the ESA by forcing economic considerations into listing decisions, fast-tracking harmful development, and shifting power to state and industry interests that have long opposed conservation efforts.
And it doesn’t stop there. Individual species are also under fire. Representative Lauren Boebert has introduced a bill to strip federal protections from gray wolves and block judicial review—eliminating a vital check on agency decisions when science is ignored or the law is broken. These attacks aren’t about recovery or science; they’re about convenience, profit, and politics.
Thankfully, many members of Congress have pushed back against these reckless efforts—and the Senate has played a critical role in stopping damaging legislation before it becomes law. But anti-wildlife lobbyists are doubling down on pressure, and our elected leaders need to hear from the public now more than ever.
Please contact your U.S. Senators today. Urge them to reject any bill, rider, or amendment that weakens the Endangered Species Act or strips protections from at-risk species.
With biodiversity in crisis and more species at risk of extinction than ever before, we need bold leadership—not rollbacks. The ESA has saved over 99% of the species under its protection. We can’t afford to go backward.
