Webcast: The Future of Protecting Oregon’s Iconic Landscapes

Rogue River by Hanna Anderson

The Owyhee Canyonlands. The Wild Rogue. The River Democracy Act. These are a few of the current opportunities to protect iconic landscapes and large expanses of public lands in Oregon for the benefit of fish and wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, climate resiliency, and local communities.

What are these bold conservation proposals and what do the election results mean for them? Are there still opportunities to protect important public lands and ecologically important landscapes in the lame-duck period and in the new Congress? In this webcast, panelists discuss these various opportunities for public lands designations across Oregon and what the future looks like for these grand landscapes.

Panelists include Mark Salvo–Conservation Director for the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA), Michael Dotson–Executive Director for the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center (KS Wild), and Chandra LeGue–Senior Conservation Advocate for Oregon Wild.
