Location: Umpqua National Forest, northeast of Roseburg
Journey into the headwaters of Steamboat Creek to the ridge dividing the Willamette and Umpqua watersheds to find a beautiful forested trail to Bullpup Lake. Beyond the lake, climb to a rocky outcrop for a view to the lake below, and then finally to a hilltop with views of Bulldog Rock and Diamond Peak. The roadless wildlands surrounding Bullpup Lake have important protections, but could be threatened by current policy proposals.
