A new year brings the opportunity to take stock of what is ahead for Oregon’s wild places and wildlife. Join Oregon Wild’s legislative team for a timely webcast breaking down the most important state and federal policy fights for the upcoming year.

We will share the latest updates on our campaigns to advance federal legislation that would permanently protect wild rivers and wildlands, as well as continuing threats like the Fix Our Forests Act, which puts irreplaceable ecosystems at greater risk than ever before. Come away with a better understanding of how industry-funded politicians are trying to strip transparency, accountability, and your voice from public lands.

At the state level, we will cover the return of our “1% for wildlife” bill in Salem, a transformative proposal to fund wildlife conservation, invasive species prevention, and anti-poaching efforts while saving Oregon communities billions of dollars over the long term. We’ll go over multiple ways for you and your neighbors to plug in and be a part of this historic campaign.

This is your chance to understand what is at stake, where the biggest opportunities and dangers lie, and how Oregon Wild is fighting to confront the extinction crisis and defend the places we love. We hope to see you there!

We will be raffling off a copy of Oregon’s Ancient Forests: A Hiking Guide and one of our new “Let Nature Live. Let Nature Last” t-shirts. Tickets are $5 and are an optional purchase below. Raffle tickets not only help us continue these Wednesday presentations but also support our work safeguarding Oregon’s wildlands, wildlife, and waters.
