Location: BLM lands just outside of Springfield

Tucked away amidst clearcuts and logging roads in the Coburg Hills, the McGowan Creek old-growth grove is an ideal spot to wander among giant trees in the evening light of the summer solstice. We’ll take it slow on this hike perfect for nature lovers of all ages, checking out the mosses, trees, and waters that make ancient forests like this one so special.

Carpools leave from central Eugene. 

Ticket & Guest Information

  • Only one registration is allowed per person. To sign up other members of your party or a minor, please complete another registration.
    • Please note: Some people have trouble completing the registration using a cell phone. Please use a computer to register if possible. You will know your registration went through if you get a confirmation email.
  • Details such as exact times, meeting locations, and carpool possibilities will be sent after registration. 
  • Oregon Wild does not allow dogs (unless a certified service animal), intoxicants, or firearms on guided hikes.
  • Kids are welcome on Oregon Wild hikes, so long as they are accompanied by an adult.
