Salmon River by Marielle Cowdin

Join Oregon Wild and the Old-Growth Forest Network in honor of old-growth forests and National Public Lands Day for a celebration and service project along the Old Salmon River Trail on the Mt. Hood National Forest!

We’ll begin with a celebration of this spectacular forest and its stewardship hosted by the Old-Growth Forest Network with remarks by staff from Mt Hood National Forest and Oregon Wild from 9:30am to 10:00am. Then, we’ll gather with local botanists to learn about the native and invasive species of this forest before we spread out for an invasive weed pull from 10am to 12pm. After the weed pull, participants are welcome to stay for a picnic lunch (BYO) and a 2 mile hike led by Oregon Wild. The hike will be complete by 2:00pm.
