Know Your Rights (KYR) For Allies
    Ana Muñoz, Latino Network

The U.S. Constitution and other laws grants everyone rights regardless of their immigration status. Know them, exercise them, and teach them. Those rights are the first line of defense to protect our immigrant & refugee communities. In this session, we will review those fundamental rights, demonstrate how to exercise them, review other relevant Oregon laws, and if there is time we will go over some scenarios.

    Lola’s Room

DIY: How Making Things Yourself is a Revolutionary Act
    Brett Warnock, Kitchen Table Magazine
    Ivy Stovall, Rewild Portland
KatMeow Garcia, Girl Game Gang Productions

There are many pressures in modern life to buy and consume things. But what happens when we make things ourselves? By learning and doing things ourselves, we can disconnect from consumerism and build skills, confidence, and community. At this workshop, we’ll demystify the revolutionary act of doing it yourself with some hands-on work making your own handcrafts, designing mini-comics, and even filming and editing a short green-screen video!

Using Art to Amplify Your Activism
    350pdx Arts Team

    Jacob Roloff, Helvetia Gardens
Sam Diaz, 1000 Friends of Oregon

The proliferation of large data centers across Oregon has spurred community resistance that crosses political and ideological boundaries. Join us for a discussion on what we can learn from these successes and how those lessons can be applied to other campaigns.

Raising Our Voices in Defense of Nature
    Chandra LeGue, Oregon Wild
Alice Weston, Oregon Chapter Sierra Club
    Madeline Cowen, Cascadia Wildlands
    Luke Borsten, Trails and Tunes

Under this Trump administration, it seems like there’s a new threat to nature and public lands announced every day, and it can feel confusing and overwhelming to know what to do. This breakout session will help make sense of public lands, and with the help of seasoned grassroots activists, organizers, and the power of song we’ll raise our voices in joy, protest, and advocacy.

Protecting Conservation and Environmental Justice Funds Forever
    Cheyenne Holliday, Verde
    Wendy Serrano, PCEF
Jenny Lee, Coalition of Communities of Color
Micah Meskel, Bird Alliance of Oregon

It takes years of advocacy to pass transformative funding programs like the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefit Fund. As soon as the funding exists, special interest groups begin targeting the revenue for their own interests that are different than the original intent. Join us for a panel conversation to learn how, together, we can continue to advocate to protect our conservation and environmental justice wins.

  • 5:30 Dinner and Keynote

Nature’s Strategies for Advocacy and Action

    Pattie Gonia

Join Pattie Gonia for a special keynote that explores the radical power of joy in the face of oppression. From Stonewall to today, queer resistance has always blended rage with revelry. Drawing on the legacy of those who danced through grief while they fought for what’s right, we’ll discuss how celebration, laughter, and community are not just coping tools, but vital strategies for survival and liberation.
This keynote will leave you with actionable steps to create change, pulling from nature’s leadership to inform our next steps. We’ll have an extended Q&A so come ready with questions to ask. We’ll close out the night with a special drag performance by Pattie!

  • 7:30 Wrap-up, get connected with local organizations and learn how you can join the fight!
