Juan Pablo San Emeterio - Western Oregon Field Attorney

Pablo joined Oregon Wild in 2025 as Oregon Wild’s Western Oregon Field Attorney. He grew up in Wisconsin where he learned to appreciate the outdoors, but his appreciation truly developed over multiple trips out west where he was able to experience the grandness and beauty that the west had to offer.

After completing his undergrad in Wisconsin, Pablo moved to Oregon to pursue his J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School and received a certification in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. During law school, Pablo developed a deep interest in forest and public lands law, and he held several internship positions with organizations dedicated to protecting and conserving Oregon’s public lands. After law school, Pablo practiced immigration law and also held a position with a regional government agency. Pablo is excited to be back in a role where he is able to dedicate his time to helping protect Oregon’s wildlands, wildlife, and waters. He will focus his advocacy on protecting the Mount Hood, Willamette, and Siuslaw National Forests.

Outside of work, Pablo enjoys exploring Oregon’s forests on day hikes, backpacking trips, and camping trips and taking photographs along the way.
